Christchurch Folk Music Club

Bottlelake Junction

Christchurch’s newest Celtic-Bluegrass Band, Bottlelake Junction wowed the audience with some awe inspiring music by three musicians individually accomplished and together they were dynamic.

This trio emerged from the Canterbury Folk Festival in 2017, where Mary found her heart being taken moved by bluegrass music, Mary followed up and the trio was formed. Many hours have spent been positively honing their expertise, and this .

A blend of tunes, originals by each of the performer’s, some time tested covers offered a night of diversity, with the sparkle of Mary’s banter adhering it all together with delightful humour.

Their publicity blurb stated that there would be ten instruments to enjoy, however a count up tallied fourteen, which included the three vocal instruments as well. A great night for this trio’s second public performance and I know that there is a grand future ahead, this combination will be a force to look out for and hear as they gel even further into their combined music.
