The president is the main point of contact for the Christchurch Folk Music Club. They oversee the committee’s actions and act as a representative for the club. The president is responsible for all correspondance with artists and organizing the concert schedule.

The Secretary receives, responds and redirects all emails and communication to the Club. They take minutes at committee meetings, write the weekly emails, and ensure all forms are up-to date. The Secretary introduces artists and keeps the concerts on schedule, making sure everything is where it needs to be at the right times.

The treasurer is responsible for managing the club’s funds, recording all registrations, keeping up with the member registry, preparing financial reports for meetings and annual accounts, and archiving all necessary documents. 

The hospitality hosts usually help out during the intermission, offering a warm smile, greeting the audience and running the tea and biscuits stands.

The committee members attend meetings for the club, assist in the set-up and take-down of the venue, run sound and lighting during the concerts, and fulfill various tasks to make sure the club is constantly running efficiently.
