Alistair Brown – a well traveled Scottish singer & concertina

28514401_1717960104927987_573080064664309871_oAlistair Brown has been singing the old songs, and new songs written by people who like the old songs, since he was fifteen years old.

He began his career helping out in the folk clubs of his native Scotland during the folk revival of the 60s, selling tickets, and opening bottles and occasionally concerts, for many of the great names in folk music.

18th February 2018, was the day we were treated to Alistair Brown, his story telling, historical knowledge of the folk scene and the foundation of folk music.

Then he brought us the dongs and tunes to round the concert of perfectly. A well rounded concert truly enjoyed by the traditionalists that made up the appreciative audience.
