Erin Morton & Terry Ebeling – A DUO
Terry and Erin are both established Dunedin musicians reflecting our hearts, town and people.
They are friendly and engage with their audiences. They will draw a mature crowd who are into Dunedin’s Delgirl and Whirling Eddys, as well as being into acoustic NZ roots music, folk and Americana Blues/roots/rock.
Over years of playing together in a variety of contexts, they are excited about this duo, which will showcase a blend of original material as well as covers that they feel and love, rich in harmonies, hilarity, and humanity.
Erin Morton is a Dunedin singer-songwriter. She has performed solo and is also a member of Delgirl. Erin has played a variety of instruments in different bands/genres over many years. Erin’s engaging, enigmatic guitar style, songwriting skills, and ability to blend harmonies and work collaboratively with other band members have shone in her work with two different bands, receiving Tui nominations, including taking out the 2008 Tui Folk award for Delgirl’s debut album ‘2, Maybe 3 Days Ride’.
Terry Ebeling is a singer-songwriter and performer, playing guitar, banjo, and harmonica in solo shows and in a variety of bands. In addition to his popular solo performances, he is a long-standing member of Dunedin’s band The Whirling Eddys, an occasional member of the Oxocubans and a lifetime member of the Ebeling Brothers. Terry’s style of blues/roots/rock has proved popular with audiences around the world for over twenty years. He has played with many musicians, including harmonica collaborations with Willie Nelson, Jimmy LaFave, and Lyle Lovett, and has provided support for Nanci Griffith, Little River Band, and an impressive list of others.
