Nearly fifty years of performing since he started with the fledgling band in 1969 was evident as Alan crafted each instrument, guitar, keyboard, accordion and vocals as a superb technician, back up with an extensive knowledge of the music he shared. Opening the show for the night was Larry Kaplin traveling and enjoying the beautiful weather and scenery here on holiday.

A huge contrast to the weather his local area of New England were experiencing. Both artists were composers of their own material which highlighted their reflections on their life and the experiences that had touched them. Intermingled with traditional Scottish tunes from Alan confirming his heritage and love of folk genre.

A night that was offered not on behalf of the Folk Club however a real chance to see two artists in action, an opportunity too good to be missed.
