Helen’s voice and the unique sound of the Northumbrian smallpipes – a magical combination.

This ex-pat Northumbrian has played festivals and clubs across Britain and Australia as well as New Zealand, collecting new material as she travelled. Her stories, songs and tunes are delivered with that classic Northern England humour, and the magic of the smallpipes. Based on a strong respect of tradition, Helen delivers a diverse repertoire that is as engaging as it is charming.

She sings, recites, and plays with an infectious humour and enthusiasm. Her songs range from very ancient to almost new and touch on all the human emotions: cry about loss, laugh about love, suffer with those who struggle, celebrate with those who triumph. Her tunes will make you want to dance, laugh, tap your feet, smile or remember special moments.
