The Ceilidh Dance 16 Sept 2018

A cèilidh is a traditional Scottish or Irish social gathering, where dance and music is the binding factor. The dancers were certainly bound in joy for the dance and the Monday Night Session Band brought music that was dance-able and enjoyable. The delight on their faces for the music they were creating together was apparent and a healthy banter and collaboration was evident between the caller Gary Elford and the band, as they worked together giving a sense of ease for the dncers who were guided by both the caller Gary and the tunes. A fun night and there was appreciative excitement about the Ceilidh to be held in conjunction with the 50th celebrations in November. by Judi Smitheran, Secretary
